We just completed one of the busiest weeks of the school year culminating with Open House last Thursday night.  It was very impressive to see the beautiful classrooms with displays of student generated work.  Teachers did a terrific job showing off history projects, art, ordinary classwork, science charts, etc.  Students are always so excited to share their accomplishments with family and friends. Thank you to the Student Council members who organized the ice cream social and filled our dishes.  A special thanks to Mrs. Milton, Mrs. Kovach, and Mrs. Morrone who provided the ice cream and all the trimmings for our enjoyment.

Teachers and staff are having a fabulous week and feeling deeply appreciated.  Many different activities have been planned for them including breakfast each day, Starbucks runs, and a wonderful luncheon to cap off the festivities Friday afternoon.

After all this hustle and bustle, our campus will be very quiet next week.  All of middle school will be on overnight field trips.  Sixth and seventh grades will adventure into the San Bernardino mountains for a science trip and the eighth grade will enjoy the beauty and history of our nation's capital.  We wish them all safe travel and look forward to the many stories they will have to share when they return.

Have a great week,

              Mrs. Lopez

WE'VE ALL DONE IT!

Every FOA staff member has contributed to the
2013-2014 Annual Fund Campaign!

HAVE YOU???

With only 5 weeks left in the school year, we are still about $11,000 short of our Annual Fund goal for 2013-2014.  If you have not done so already, please consider a gift to Foothill Oaks Academy before the school year ends.  Your gift will be used where needed most throughout the school to support budgeted academic programs, athletics, the arts, and extracurricular activities.

To date, only 28 of our 76 families have made a contribution to this year's campaign.  If each remaining family made a tax deductible gift of $240 we would reach this year's goal of $30,000, but please know that every gift counts no matter the size. The greater goal is to show parent participation as it is vital for the school's ability to apply for grants from major foundations and companies.
Birth Certificate Required
Updating Student Files

The state requires that we have a birth certificate on file for each student in attendance at our school.  If we do not have a copy of your student's birth certificate you will be notified.

Please be aware that we MUST have a copy of your student's birth certificate on file in order for them to return in the fall.  Start looking!

Microsoft XP Woes
Can You Help?

Windows 7 logoWe are in serious need of some new computers as most of ours are running Windows XP.  If you work for, or know of a company, that is updating their computers and is getting rid of working computers running Windows 7, we would appreciate your assistance in making that connection.
