Last week everyone was hustling, trying to accomplish last minute details for our spring benefit.  Thankfully all the hard work paid off because our "Night in Paris" was a great success!  We are hopeful that we made our monetary goal, but more importantly, we are so fortunate to have experienced a wonderful evening with a great sense of community.  The "fun factor" was high Saturday night!

I feel at a huge loss when trying to give credit to all the families that helped to make the event possible. The event coordinator, Priscilla Poppensiek Townsend spent countless hours doing her best to solicit sponsorships, obtaining outside money which helped to fund our evening.  Christa Tamparong coordinated all of the class projects which were beautiful, original and loved by all.  Room parents worked very hard to make sure these projects were some of the best we've seen.  All members of the office staff worked many hours overtime creating programs, signage, decorations,
accommodating phone calls, adjusting schedules, generating a slide show of our students etc...etc...etc. We received innumerable comments about the deliciousness of our appetizers.  They were made fresh, in house, by our preschool parent, Theresa Kay.  Our soiree could not have been a success without our faithful parents creating baskets, donating items for baskets, transporting indispensable items, creating centerpieces, decorating, tending bar, cleaning up, and most importantly attending and spending your hard earned dollars in support of FOA. Our new first grade parent, Kevin Burke, was our Master of Ceremonies which truly added to the culture of the evening.  I hope everyone knows we appreciate all of you and what you do daily for us.

Last Friday on minimum day, the Diaz Family provided the staff with a yummy lunch catered by Max's .  It is the second time this year we have had lunch thanks to the generosity of the Diazes.

We are on our way to spring break.  Do not forget to stop by our bookfair next week.  (schedule below).  Our Easter egg hunt is
on Tuesday.  Please remember to send a bag of candy.

       Enjoy the sunshine,
