Death...Taxes...CLEANING. The not-so-fun inevitables in life, right? Well we're no experts on the first two, but we have a few things to say about the last one!
Cleaning entails a broad spectrum of household chores that most people do not particularly enjoy. Some folks hate it so much that their procrastination only serves to make the situation worse! Prevention is key, of course, so organization is essential (but that's an article for another day.) Remember how important cleaning is - not only for keeping up appearances and the health of your family - but for the "health" of your home itself! Floors, carpets and upholstery are wildly expensive, and cleaning them correctly and frequently protects those investments. So let's discuss ways to inject excitement into taking pride in the cleanliness of your home!
Queen Vacuum's TOP 5 TIPS for making cleaning more FUN!

1. Use a high quality vacuum. Buy one with the correct attachments for the types of floors and carpets you have. This will clean the most effectively and with the greatest of ease. We recommend Miele brand machines the most, but Oreck also has some great stuff if low-weight is your greatest priority.
2. Use aroma-therapeutic cleaning products. Never use brands that are harsh or toxic. Aim for ones that are made of gentler, plant-based ingredients and use essential oils to boost effectiveness (as well as your

mood!) You can even make your own! Stop in for a sample of our favorites:
Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day, and Caldrea brand natural cleaners...Yum!
3. Divvy up the work. If they live with you, they deserve to be on the cleaning "team!" Divide up the chores by ability and by preferences. Perhaps your husband destroys laundry, but enjoys vacuuming. Kids can pick up their rooms and at least make sure clothes make it to the hamper. It's not so bad when you share... See our Pinterest board for other creative ways to delegate!
4. Put on some music! Whether you want to put a spring in your step or soothe away your stress, music is a powerful anecdote to the irritation cleaning may induce.

5. Get organized. In addition to regular stuff, organize your cleaning products too! Find a cute and creative way to put all of your cleaning essentials together. Repurpose an old bucket, basket or rolling cart to corral your "tools." Perhaps you can make one for each room with surface-specific products in each. However you slice it, not having to hunt for the grout brush or glass cleaner will make your job a lot less miserable.
