Troubleshooting Electronic Control Systems Without Knowing Inputs and Outputs

Manufacturers are increasingly replacing simple mechanical controls with electronic control boards.  For example, the dispensers on some KitchenAid refrigerators now use electronic pressure pads instead of a mechanical lever system to actuate the ice or water function and have four different electronic control boards to run the dispenser.  To make our joy complete, the tech sheet omits the input and output signals between these various boards and pressure pads making an analytical diagnosis (measuring input and output voltages) virtually impossible.  In this fog of AWOL diagnostic info, how's a diligent appliance tech supposed to troubleshoot these systems? Skills Shortage Means Many Jobs Go Unfilled

Growing numbers of small-business owners say unfilled job openings are thwarting their growth at a time of high confidence in the economy.

 

About 33% of 848 small-business owners and chief executives said they had unfilled job openings in June because they couldn't identify qualified applicants, up from 31% of 811 owners nearly two years ago, according to surveys by The Wall Street Journal and Vistage International, a San Diego peer advisory group for executives. AllDolly Website Updated With Video Clips

We have updated our web site to include a few video clips made here in our California fabrication facility that show the basic fundamental uses of our products, such as the Mini AllDolly, the Standard and Extendable AllDolly and of course the Lifting AllDolly (Home Page, Information, Documentation). We hope in the coming months to add a few more to include the use of the Tall AllDolly for removal of stacked dryers and other countertop height and above appliances as well as some of our AllDolly accessories and tech tricks of the trade.
