Happy Easter
Alright already! It's the end of March and the Easter Bunny comes this weekend. Can someone please tell the weatherman, "Enough with the snow already"! Gees!

If you missed the 2013 ASTI earlier this month, it was the biggest and best  annual convention ever held with over 540 appliance service professionals gathered for 4 days of networking and  intense training on a wide range of appliance repair service topics. See the ASTI photos The convention offered a collaborative and diverse learning environment where professionals were given the opportunity to, in the words of Patty Husk: "learn how to do their jobs better." Attendees also received valuable industry specific updates on leading appliance brands. "The education we received during the conference prepares us for the constant changes in technology that our industry faces" noted Patty.
The 2014 ASTI will be back on the West Coast in San Diego California.  Mark you calendars and save the dates: February 26 to March 1, 2014.

21st Annual Appliance Service Training Institute  

ASTI 2013

Chicago, IL- The 21st Appliance Service Training Institute was held last week at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. It was another home run for United Servicers Association, making the ASTI a grand slam for the 4th consecutive year. Freds Academy Dear USA Member,
Good News:  We are now state licensed as a school.  We are recognized by the state of Ohio as a career school.  This will allow us to accept certain grants including the GI Bill, Veterans Offices, Unemployment Offices, etc.  
One of objectives is to reach out to veterans returning from overseas service and attracting them to our industry. They will take our classes and be placed all over the country in this very high demand job for great people as a field service technician.
Our vision is to improve this industry in many different ways, including attracting and training great people to become technicians.  We are currently doing this on a national level. We have had students from every state in the US except Vermont! We've even had several from Canada and the Virgin Islands!

I'm looking forward to a continued relationship with United Servicers Association.
