From the Executive Director At the end of the month I will have completed my longest tenure in a job, 18 years of service to ASWB. I am very grateful for the experience and the opportunities it afforded me. There was something happening all the time at ASWB that was interesting and challenging. I have been delighted to have had a series of wonderful ASWB presidents, treasurers, secretaries and members of the Board of Directors with whom to work. My relationships with all of you were very special. What I treasure most were the opportunities that I had to meet social work regulators in Canada, the U.S., and around the world. These experiences enriched me personally as well as professionally, and it is these connections and relationships that I will miss the most. So, I wish you farewell. ASWB is in good hands and I look forward to following its continuing growth and progress to ensure minimum standards of professional social work competence and the protection of the public it serves. Keep up the good work. |
