This past Monday, EYC members and guests were (once again) treated to a great football game and a great entree as prepared by guest chefs Lance and Sue Bateman.
Eli Manning put on a passing clinic (27/31) as the Giants scored late and kept their playoff hopes alive in defeating the Miami Dolphins 31-24. The game, along with the excellent presentation of the Chicken Marbella as prepared by Lance and Sue, afforded EYC members and guests a great evening of inexpensive entertainment.
This Monday, plan on joining guest chefs Jim and Jenn Vickers at half time as they prepare a truly genuine "Cajun" selection taken from Paul Prudhomme's Louisiana Kitchen Cookbook. To quote EYC Commodore Jim Vickers: "I'll be cooking from his (Prudhomme's) 'everything tastes better with another stick of butter' era". That being said, make sure you bring an appetite and join fellow members and guests for Monday's festivities.
Monday Night Football is a great opportunity to stop by EYC and visit with other members and guests and enjoy the game. Dinner is usually presented at half time so bring along an appetizer for all to share.
The bar
IS open for MNF and is manned by our regular bartenders on a volunteer basis. Really, they volunteer for this.
EYC Monday Night Football is a great way to meet other members, have fun and try out a new dish. There will be additional information in future Signal Flag issues.
See you all on Monday, December 21st!
