MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Monday, December 7th
Kickoff: 5:30 PM
DALLAS COWBOYS at the WASHINGTON REDSKINS

On Monday, November 30th, guest chef and Cal State Ph.D. Jenny O provided EYC members and guests with a unique dining experience. Jenny and friends prepared over 250 dumplings (all handmade BTW). The various flavors included steamed pork & shrimp, Fried Wontons (pork & shrimp), steamed shrimp dumplings, curried vegetable fried wonton, steamed ginger-spinach tofu dumplings with traditional Cantonese fried rice and assorted dipping sauces. WOW! Judging by the turnout and member comments, a good time was had by all. Guests were treated to a rather exciting football game as well. A last-second field goal attempt by the Cleveland Browns to win the game was blocked and returned for a touchdown and a win for the Baltimore Ravens 33-27.

This Monday, EYC Executive Vice President Neil Weinberg and wife Carol will by preparing Bratwurst and an assortment of salads and sides. Neil has assured this writer that the brats will indeed be "par boiled" in beer and onions in the traditional fashion so make sure you arrive with an appetite. Hopefully the Cowboys and Redskins will cooperate on the field and continue the streak of some pretty exciting football we have enjoyed over the last several weeks.

Monday Night Football is a great opportunity to stop by EYC and visit with other members and guests and enjoy the game. Dinner is usually presented at half time so bring along an appetizer for all to share.

The bar IS open for MNF and is manned by our regular bartenders on a volunteer basis. Really, they volunteer for this.

EYC Monday Night Football is a great way to meet other members, have fun and try out a new dish. There will be additional information in future Signal Flag issues.

See you all on Monday, December 7th!
