Airport security fix: Better training - for humans and dogs -- Peter Neffenger, the TSA's sixth and current administrator, wants to hire more enthusiastic agents and train them better, and also make greater use of bomb-sniffing dogs as ways to improve TSA performance. Since January, almost all new hires have gone through a two-week course at a sprawling federal installation in Georgia. And TSA recently opened a new facility in Texas to train more dogs in bomb detection. The Associated Press took a look behind the scenes at both operations. David Koenig/AP

Brexit continues to punish global airlines, led lower by EasyJet -- Global airlines continued to tumble as investors worried that demand for flights through the U.K. could suffer following the country's decision to leave the European Union. EasyJet Plc fell the most in 12 years after warning that the U.K. vote will hurt earnings for the rest of the summer as travel demand wanes. In the U.S., United Continental Holdings Inc. posted its biggest two-day intraday decline in five years, while American Airlines Group Inc. and Delta Air Lines Inc. dropped the most since August. Brexit and aviation Part 2: lower air traffic, economic uncertainty. UK-EU relations up in the air -- The British exit from the European Union will have a negative impact on UK air traffic as a result of weaker GBP - an immediate effect - and a weaker GDP outlook. Air freight is also likely to be negatively affected by lower levels of international trade. The impact on air traffic is also likely to be felt in the rest of Europe, while economists are also warning that Brexit adds to the uncertainties facing the global economy. Frequent-flier guide: What you'll earn per flight on five U.S. airlines -- In 2015, Delta made the term award "mile" a misnomer when it transitioned to a revenue-based program, awarding fliers according to how much money they spend on flights instead of how many miles they fly. It didn't take long for United and American to follow suit. Only one major U.S. carrier, Alaska, still sticks to the traditional award structure. So in this brave new world of award miles, which airline will give you the most miles per flight? Brad Cohen/USA Today

Editorial: Outrage over Arizona's immigration law was justified, but L.A.'s boycott proved to be a farce -- A boycott can be a powerful form of political protest, inflicting economic damage in an effort to influence behavior. There is a long list of boycotts throughout history that have helped right injustices. Not on the list of effective protests: The city of Los Angeles' boycott of the state of Arizona for its adoption of discriminatory, anti-immigrant legislation in 2010.
