 Join the URI Master Gardeners for a magical journey through the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, where fairy homes and gardens will be on display for an entire week! 

 

Learn how you can craft your own fairy homes and gardens using found natural materials.

Tuesday, April 22 11 AM
Learn more about beneficial insects while releasing ladybugs into our greenhouse. Open to the public.

 

Wednesday April 23 11:30 AM

Build and plant your own mini bog!  Learn about the world of carnivorous plants from the Secretary of  New England Carnivorous Plant Society, John Twomey. $20 for each bog-builder. Pre-registration required. Limit 20 participants ages 10 and older.

 

Thursday April 24 11:30 AM

Facts, Feathers and Feeders: Learn about Rhode Island backyard birds, then build your own birdhouse and feeder. Take home a pocket bird ID guide. Led by URI Master Gardener, Linda Hall. $5 per birdhouse builder. Pre-registration required. Limit 20 participants ages 6 and older.

 

Friday April 25 11 AM

Learn more about beneficial insects while releasing ladybugs into our greenhouse. Open to the public.

 

Friday April 25 11:30 AM

Free story time and craft exploring the life cycle of a butterfly, led by URI 4-H educator, Kim Pond. Open to the public.
