Bibles...
for Scioto Valley's newest church family, Grace Community Fellowship...

Your congregation is invited to support this new faith community by signing and giving a Bible for this new church family to use in worship.
The Presbytery has purchased 100 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) pew Bibles for our congregations to dedicate to this new faith fellowship.
Pick one up in the presbytery office or at the September Presbytery Meeting to have your congregation sign, dedicate and give to the Grace Community Fellowship.
Donations of $23 each to cover the cost of the Bibles are especially welcome.

Presbytery Mission and Vision Statement

God calls us through the Holy Spirit to connect with each other to plant, grow and nurture vital,
faithful communities of Christ for service and ministry.
In response we build partnerships,
communicate with and support congregations,
leaders and individuals,
and embody Christ's transforming love in the world.
PSV Members and Friends enjoy greeting Mission Co-Worker, The Reverend Michael Ludwig, at this year's New Wilmingon Mission Conference (NWMC)
Ginny Teitt, Jeannie Harsh,  Steve and Kae Merold, surrounded Michael Ludwig, as they enjoyed deeply spiritual worship, Bible study, warm fellowship, inspiring presentations and life-changing stories from world-wide mission co-workers during the 110th New Wilmington Mission Conference (NWMC) in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania in late July. This annual mission conference, which focuses on youth ages 12-14, uses its Presbyterian heritage to encourage a missionary spirit with a deep spiritual life. For more information about this mission focused conference, email Ginny Teitt,  teittfam@msn.com.
Commissioned Ruling Elders (CREs) Kae Merold and Christine Burns enjoy Serving in the Presbytery...
The idea of our presbytery commissioning a ruling elder to a limited, specialized, validated ministry in the presbytery came from a request of the Commission for Congregational Life to have one or more CREs to assist congregations especially during transitional times. This particular pastoral service, described in the PC(USA) Book of Order, was officially approved by Scioto Valley during the November Presbytery Meeting. Commissioned Ruling Elders Kae Merold and Christine Burns were commissioned during the May 2015 Presbytery Meeting. Kae, a member of the Commission for Church Professionals, serves the Outville Presbyterian Church and Christine, a member of the Commission for Congregational Life, serves the Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church.
