Visiting the amazingly beautiful State of UTAH

Taken on a 9 day visit/6 day road trip late April, 2015.

The Rockies viewed flying into Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake Temple. a Mormon church in Temple Square.

Visiting the Tulip Festival just south of the city...

On the way to get a glimmer of the desert.

Arriving a little late in central western Utah...
A shoe tree from people who never made it out of the desert...

Range under a blue sky as far as the eye can see.

Capitol Reef National Park!

Home to giant boulders...

Another view with snowcap mountains in the distance...

South through Dixie National Forest...

Along the way Rock Shops glistened with an array of colors...

A view of Bryce Canyon

Abandoned log cabin... moving on southward.

One of several tunnels in Zion National Park
With so many majestic views
Photograph shows the many striations in a 200X100 foot section.
I can't overlook the glorious desert blooms...
Spot the long and winding road between the canyon walls?
And there are those straight stretches that seem endless.
Simple and beautiful...
Hacienda by Lake Powell...
Lake Powell with a marina in the distance.
Ranch house center right provides dimension in Monument Valley.
The sun breaks through on these natural monuments...
Four Corners where you can be in 4 States at once...
Had to swing by Mesa Verde in Colorado...
This cactus flower is incredible, possibly even edible...
Lodging near Moab. Think director John Ford, actor John Wayne.
View for breakfast, lunch and dinner
On into Arches National Park...
Another splendid view...
Luckily the weather held up mostly sunshine for those 6 days.
On leaving Arches National Park...
Back in Salt Lake City soon to fly back home.
