Raquel comes to us by way of Mexico and is of Spanish and Chinese heritage. She's not a professional model, but is a curvy mother of two who wanted to visually express her strength and beauty and therefor came in to the Studio for a boudoir session.
Setting up, doing the hair and make-up takes an hour or more.
She was a little nervous. To help make her comfortable and for both of us to get into the swing, we started with a head and shoulder shot.
I like to accomplish as much as I can at the time of the shoot, the right lighting, etc. Over reliance on post production computer manipulations are time consuming, although I do use Adobe for assignments (not on my personal artwork). I am also careful to avoid overdoing-excessive software enhancements...
Changed the background to bluish tone...
Thinking of the shoes creating a heart...
Having fun and trying possibilities, while trying to keep to a 2-3 hour time frame for a session.

This could have used props... a wisk broom, and playful fun!

Photographs are precious and more so with the passing of time.

Thinking about Valentine's Day...
UNTIL NEXT TIME!!!
