The Great Barrier Reef -WOW!
I very much was looking forward to taking photographs at Australia's Great Barrier Reef. It was very warm and humid in north east part of the country and the weather forecasts were showing rain for all the three possible days. Luckily my instinct was right....picked a day that was amazingly calm and beautiful...got a backburn to prove it.
A day on the Reef Experience, breakfast and lunch included, as we made several reef locations.
This is among 1500 fish species living at the reefs.
It is the largest coral reef system in the world.
Consisting of some 2900 individual reefs and 900 islands.
The reefs are also home to many species birds, turtles, , dophins, porpoises, whales, ascidians, 17 species of water snakes, etc. What! Water snakes!!!
An amazing , colorful, and active environment.
