ICELAND SCENES
Salmon may consider these water steps (just left of center) as their stairway to heaven. They return to where they were spawned, in this case the lake above the waterfall. The counter on top shows 205 salmon had made the climb so far this year.
If you like waterfalls Iceland is the place for you.

There is a physics to fly casting, popularized in the movie "A River Runs Through It", and it's a sportsman's way to getting a salmon on the dinner table. I broke the ice catching four. Fresh they are super tasty.
I like photographing windows and doors. From the inside out they are gateways to the world. From outside in they lead to the private life's within. The people of Iceland enjoy their window decorations. Doors appear well weathered, and sculptures are in abundant display.

I believe these flowers to be Wild Thyme. Like most Icelandic flowers they are small and close to the ground. This patch spans about 3".
A panoramic view of Djupavik and its retired historic herring factory, taken early morning with a low lying cloud over the fjord.
It's a sunny balmy beach day in Flatey as the temperature rises into the 60's. A nice thing about Iceland is feeling secure and safe. Made me reflect on where I live in Florida. Compared to the rest of the world, it gives me this same feeling. With soothing sea breezes, puffy clouds, and gentle sway of palms on white beaches - it's truly paradise.

This photograph of Icelandic horses has the mountain I mentioned last week as shown in 2001: A Space Odessey. The previous presentation also had a photo of horses running by, which one do you like best?
Took this looking to create a pure photographic artistic abstract to
represent dynamic Iceland. Enjoy!
