ICELAND
Iceland has an unusual lava based terrain and their horses have evolved, in addition to the walk, trot, cantor and gallop,
a 5th gate called to tolt.
SNAEFELLSJOKULL a glacier covered volcano top at the western end of the Island that was made famous in Jules Verne's novel "Journey to the center of the Earth" that reportedly is a source for spiritual energy.
I met aspiring actress Thelma Ózk Bjarnadóttir in the northwest city of Isarjordur. She well represents the look of Iceland. We had a fun photo shoot. Her father, well known in Europe, is singer Bjarni Arason.

I like the farm and the clouds above, but photographer Brian McNally tells me you'll find this mountain in Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey. You'll be seeing more of this mountain on the installment next weekend and I'll link the rest of the photographs then on

These Annual Stonecrop flowers are for someone who loves yellow flowers. Iceland is full of small, close to the ground, colorful flowers. Caught this Redshank. I'm not a bird watcher, but as a photographer it is a challenge taking their fine portrait. And finally....

Greenland from 36,000+ feet. Amazing how clear and not green. You can see several flowing glaciers and icebergs floating out to sea.
There's about 10 of these showing Greenland I will link next week
