We're wrapping up our Battlefield series this week @ the Cooper's Home for our Fall Celebration!!  We'll learn that we can't control conflict, but we can control ourselves.  This is one of our favorite annual events - you don't want to miss it!! Invite a friend!

CHRISTMAS 2015 FOR FAMILIES.
 
This Christmas you will have the chance as a family to not just LOOK at the Christmas story, but to EXPERIENCE Christmas! Gone are the days of someone else shaping what your kids know, understand or believe about Christmas...YOU get to shape that...and we are going to help. Through the four week self-guided "Christmas Experience", you will be resourced by our team to engage your kids with media, outings, challenges, projects and CONVERSATION! Watch for more information to come in the next few weeks!

 

It's not too late to stir up your favorite chili recipe and enter it in the cook-off tonight (October 23rd) at 6:30 p.m. Decorate your trunk, get some candy to pass out, dress up the kids and come on out to enjoy a Harvest-fest full of fun hay rides, games, s'mores and hot dogs! If you have a favorite side dish to serve alongside chili and hot dogs, bring a dish to share. If you don't have the time to participate at least come on out and enjoy each other and our community.

  • Down the road: Our Semi-annual Fish Fry is November 14th!  We will have pulled pork alongside our hand breaded fish and sides. This year we will have our craft show, bake sale, and a visit from Santa at the same time. It's a great time to buy some goodies for Thanksgiving and some gifts for Christmas.There's a place for everyone to help from set-up, breading fish, through greeting and serving food. Check out the sign up sheets in the Connection Cafe.
  • Reminder - Stephen Ministry Informational Meeting-October 26th at 6:30pm in The Garage at our SW campus. If you feel you are being called to serve or just curious, join us and find out what it is all about and have all your questions answered.
  • If you've experienced loss, the holidays can seem overwhelming. Gain support and a new perspective by attending Surviving the Holidays, a seminar designed to help anyone who is struggling with grief.
