THIS SUNDAY: FUEL kickoff!

High school and middle schoolers, bring your friends for a great night of getting connected and having fun! We'll have a slip 'n slide, kickball, shaving cream Twister, muddy GaGa, a snow cone truck and more!! It's gonna be messy, so be sure to dress accordingly (dark shirts, please). Bring a towel... and a bunch of friends!

During September and October, Sonrise Children's Ministry is encouraging its leaders of all ages to Bring a Peer to Volunteer. Volunteers who bring their friends and family to serve with them build community and serve well!

The Arntz family is a great example. Mom Natasha has modeled her love for Christ with her children Kennedy (14), Jared (12) and Josh (10) -- they have been serving together in KidZone for the last four years!
 
Kennedy frequently reaches out to her friends, inviting them to serve with her in the two's class. And Josh likes to serve in KidZone because, "It lets the moms and dads know more about Christ and they know that their kids are safe....plus I LOVE to give stroller rides!" Thank you Arntz family for your continued dedication to Sonrise families!

Our Cookie Ministry is a rich tradition at Sonrise Church! Grabbing a cookie and coffee after the morning service results in fellowship, introductions and connection. You can support this ministry by volunteering as a cookie server one Sunday each month! Email Susan Abbott if you'd like more information.

  • If you have a heart to be involved with our youth, you can help behind the scenes with our security, childcare and meals teams! For details, contact Pastor Weaz for details.
  • Jude McDonnell will be leading a women's study this fall of Beth Moore's Daniel. The study will meet on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. beginning October 5. Sign up at the Welcome Center!
     
  • Learn about the many opportunities to provide care to others at our Care Ministry Open House on Thursday, September 24 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. in the Garage. Join us for refreshments and an informal time where you can express interest in joining one of our ministry teams.
     
  • If you've wanted to get involved with a short-term missions project, come learn more on Sept. 20 & 27 about a planned missions trip to Nicaragua! Sonrise Church is sending a missions team Feb. 17-25, 2016 to serve a community that we have partnered with for the last four years - we will be helping a church in Vera Cruz with a feeding program, supporting Christian education, and helping with light construction. If you'd like to know more, join us in the Living Room during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services on Sept. 20 or 27.   • If you are separated, divorced or just considering these actions, you are invited to gain a godly perspective through Divorce Care. You will discover a friendly, caring group of people to walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. Our Divorce Care group will meet on Mondays at 7 p.m. beginning next Monday, Sept. 14. The cost is $15 for materials. Registration is not required -- just come and get connected.
     
  • MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an amazing ministry to moms within our church and in our community! This is a great time for moms to connect and be encouraged - and it wouldn't be possible without loving caregivers for their little ones! If you are available to care for children while MOPS meets, email mops@sonrisechurch.info or check the "MOPS ministry childcare" box on the tear off.
