Due to weather, we have rescheduled our KidZone Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social
for this Sunday from 6:30 - 8 p.m.! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and join us for ice cream sundaes, yard games and meeting new friends - sign up at the KidZone check-in starting next Sunday!   

If you'd like to serve ice cream, or help with set-up and tear-down, please contact Stephanie Carrico!
Join us for a celebration of life change at our annual baptism at 4 p.m. on Aug. 30! Gather with us on the lawn around the pond to witness the joy of water baptism -- bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on! Then stay for a catered church picnic, games and inflatables, and fellowship!
 
If you'd like to be baptized, pick up a registration form at the Welcome Center or fill out an online registration here. An information session for those being baptized will be held in the Garage during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services on Aug. 23 and 30.

Do you have two hours to spare twice a month to play with toddlers or rock babies? We are seeking loving caregivers to care for children in our Mothers of PreSchoolers (MOPS) ministry so that young moms can have a break and get some encouragement and support. MOPS is a significant outreach for Sonrise Church, a way to show care and support to young families.

Even if you are only available once a month or a couple times during the year, we would love your help. Email mops@sonrisechurch.info for details!

Moms, treat your little princess to a special, glamorous evening at the Hollywood-style Mother/Daughter Girls Night Out at Chick-fil-A/Jefferson Pointe on Sept. 14!

You'll enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, special Hollywood-themed activities and more! Reservations are required - register for the 5:00, 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. seatings beginning this Sunday by clicking here. Admission is free but does not include cost of food.

  • Promotion Sunday is this Sunday! Preschoolers that are currently 4 years old (by August 1st) through fifth grade will promote to the next grade level. Children through 3 years move to the next class on their birthday.
     
  • If you're looking for a fun and easy way to serve, we could use your help as a cookie server one Sunday each month! Our Cookie Ministry facilitates community, and volunteering is a fun way to meet people. Plus, sampling is allowed! Email Susan Abbott if you'd like more information.
  • Learn more about serving in our Care Ministries at an informational meeting on Monday, September 28 at 6:30 p.m. in The Garage. Contact Susan Abbott with questions!
  • Our FUEL meals team is looking for volunteers to cook food and serve our youth on Sunday evenings during the 2015-16 school year. Contact Josh and Marla Clapper if you'd like to serve or want more information!
  • If you are separated, divorced or just considering these actions, Divorce Care can give you a godly perspective. Divorce Care is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. Our Divorce Care group will meet on Mondays at 7 p.m. beginning Sept. 14. The cost is $15 for materials. Registration is not required -- just come and get connected.
  • If someone in the Sonrise church body is sick, recovering from surgery, grieving or going through a tough time, the church's Meals Ministry steps in to provide food during the time of need. It is an incredible blessing to see a friendly face and receive a meal when you're hurting! If you'd like to be involved with the Meals Ministry, or if you know anyone needing meals, just check the bulletin tear-off or call the church office 469-3700.
