Sunday will be Pastor Doug Anderson's last time of worship with us. We have deeply appreciated the two years he has dedicated to giving leadership, stability, guidance and encouragement to our congregation during a time of great transition.  

 

We'll have a reception for Doug between services in the Garage this Sunday, June 28 - please stop in and express your gratitude to Pastor Doug and his wife Jan!

 

Attention, parents of first-time
elementary and middle school campers! 

Join us this Sunday from 10:30-11:00 a.m. for a brief Q&A session in the Clubhouse (at the end of the children's hallway). We will have representatives there from Camp Lakewood and Camp Adventure who can calm your nerves and answer all your questions about these upcoming summer camps!

Join us every Wednesday for SPLASH DAYS at Buckner Park! Grab your kids and your towels, and join us from 10-11:30 a.m. at Buckner Park, 6114 Bass Rd.

 

This is a great time to meet more Sonrise families! Look for the orange tablecloth to check in. We'll meet even if it's coldish, and will only cancel if it's raining at 9:30 a.m.! If you are willing to "host" a SPLASH DAY this summer, by being intentional about greeting and connecting families, contact Stephanie Carrico.

Plan to join us at the Global Leadership Summit, Aug. 6-7 at the Grand Wayne Center. Sonrise values raising up Christ-centered leaders in order to impact our church, our community, our schools and the world. This two-day event will be instrumental in growing Christian leaders in our church and throughout the community.
 

If you know you'd like to attend, please sign up as soon as possible so we can take advantage of discounted rates! Your portion of the registration fee will be just $20; Sonrise will pay the remainder of your registration fee! Click here to register and pay your $20 portion, or stop by the Welcome Center on Sunday morning. Anyone high school age and older is invited - we all have influence with someone!

  • Registration forms for the 2015-2016 season of Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) are available at the Welcome Center.
  • If you or someone you know is in need of Christian care or counseling, Sonrise Church's Care Ministries can help make that happen in the form of our trained Stephen Ministers or by referrals to Christian counselors at Cross Connections. Learn more here.
     
  • Camp Lakewood is almost here - we're leaving on July 12! And Camp Adventure is the week after that! There's still room for a few more campers, so stop at the Welcome Center after church on Sunday for registration forms for your third, fourth or fifth grader. Final payments for Camp Lakewood are due July 1, and for Adventure they're due July 5.
     
  • FUEL students, Sunday evening we're having our first service project of the summer -- we'll be bottling laundry detergent for Community Harvest Food Bank! Bring some friends for an activity that gets them connected to FUEL and makes a big impact here in the community. Be here from 6-8 p.m. this Sunday We'll have pizza!
