At Sonrise, we want everyone to be in a community where they're fully known and outrageously supported! Join us THIS SUNDAY, April 19 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. for GroupLink, a directed event where you can meet new people and get connected with a small group. Childcare is available to those who register in advance. Register here!

HEY CAMPERS! The early-bird deadline for camp registration

is NEXT TUESDAY, April 21!   

   

A $100 deposit and a simple one-page registration are all it takes to hold your child's spot at one of our three summer camps. Print off a registration form here and turn it in Sunday at the Welcome Center with your $100 deposit. Or, drop it by the church office by Tuesday! After Tuesday, the price of camp increases to $459.

Would you believe that it takes more than 60 volunteers each Sunday  

to minister to children and families through KidZone?!

 

God continues to grow our children's ministry! Our attendance has been increasing, which provides additional opportunities for God to work through you! We invite you to come observe this incredible ministry and explore where God can use you by shadowing in one of the areas listed below. Please note your interest on the tear-off or contact e-mail Daphne Gottfried

so she can help you find a specific area that will best fit your gifts and strengths.  

 

  • Check-In (adult) 
  • Curriculum Prep (16yrs & up)
  • Caregivers - nursery or ones (16yrs & up)
  • Preschool Coaches - 2's through Kindergarten  (15yrs & up)
  • Adult coaches & student leaders for lower and upper elementary (14yrs &up)

These serving roles require a commitment of either once or twice a month.

  • Be sure to be at Sonrise on this Sunday -- this will be our congregation's first opportunity to meet our newly appointed Lead Pastor Scott Pattison and his wife Anita! They will be introduced to the congregation during the morning services this Sunday; they are looking forward to worshiping with us and meeting many new people during and between the services!
     
  • FUEL students, this Sunday will be the second week of our VOICES series. As the school year winds down, we know it's easy to feel overwhelmed, and the desire to disconnect may strong. But it's important to stay connected to your faith community, so join us tonight as we hear from a panel of youth coaches who are going to share their stories with you and tackle relevant topics.  We will have a special guest tonight too!! Please join us!
     
  • Mark your calendar for a great family event at our sister church in Roanoke! The annual Fish and Tenderloin Fry is coming up on Saturday, April 25 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Adult cost is $8; Kids 3-10, $4; under 3 eat free! In addition to fantastic, hand-breaded fish and tenderloin, you'll enjoy homemade potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, homemade dessert, coffee and lemonade. Bring the whole family and enjoy great food and fellowship with our extended church family! Sonrise Roanoke is located at 12220 Lower Huntington Rd. in Roanoke.
     
  • The third class in our four-part Discover Sonrise Church series will continue on May 3 from 2-4 p.m. If you are interested in growing in your faith and discovering your ministry strengths, we encourage you to attend.
