Hello Sonrise Church!

Thank you for signing up to receive our weekly Sonrise Southwest eNews! We want to do everything we can to equip people to experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus! Check out our website www.sonrisechurch.info for more information!

It's a new year, and we are diving into a new study called Fully Known and Outrageously Supported.  This is a great starting point for friends, so bring a few!

Be praying for the seven people from our congregation serving at Jesus in Haiti Ministries next week! Their flight leaves tomorrow and they will spend the week serving the people of Haiti. We had the pleasure of hearing from JIHM Director Tom Osbeck last Sunday about the godly outreach JIHM provides through a church, a school and an orphanage. Is God calling you to go on a short-term mission trip? We will coordinate more work trips to Haiti in the future - click here to learn more about Jesus in Haiti.

Are you new to Sonrise or ready to take your next step in learning more about the church and how to get connected? Join us for NEXT on January 18 - it's an opportunity for anyone new to Sonrise to meet with pastors and staff you can learn more about the church, get questions answered and take a tour of the facility. Join us in the Garage during either the 9:30 or 11 a.m. worship hours to learn what is NEXT for you at Sonrise!

Financial Peace University begins this Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. FPU is a biblically based curriculum that teaches people how to handle money, eliminate debt and save for the future God's way. The cost of the kit is $100, payable the night of the first class. Attend the first session for free before you pay! Please register at sonrisechurch.info.

*If you are an FPU graduate, we invite you to brush up on the basics at a refresher course being held at Sonrise SW on January 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Preschool registration is fast approaching. Don't miss the opportunity to register your little one for this Christ-centered learning environment!

Other Announcements

  • FUEL students, we're going to continue talking about Chaos this week, dialing into the topic Approved. Who of us doesn't get stressed out trying to win the approval of parents, teachers, boyfriends and girlfriends, coaches and teammates? Nothing brings chaos into our lives like the constant pressure of wondering if everyone likes or accepts us. We'll look at Proverbs again tonight, and we'll find an option that helps us move toward peace. Who can you encourage by bringing them with you on Sunday?

  • If you're looking for a fun and easy way to serve, we could use your help as a cookie server one Sunday each month! This is a great way to meet people and help facilitate the growth of community at Sonrise. Email Susan Abbott if you'd like more information.
