Make plans to attend one of
Sonrise Church's five Christmas Eve services, scheduled at
3:00, 4:30, 6:00, 7:30 and 9:00 p.m.
on December 24.

At Sonrise we get excited about creating a culture of invitation! Christmas Eve is the perfect time to invite a friend or neighbor to join you for worship and celebration!

 

We ask that you pick up free tickets at the Welcome Center for the time you plan to attend. This will help us plan and will also spread the crowds evenly across these five service times. You may also stop at the Sonrise church office to obtain tickets.

 

 

This Sunday evening is the FUEL Christmas Party - wear your PAJAMAS! We're going to play a bunch of fun Christmas games and have a great time, so wear your best pajama pants, shirts or onesies. (Appropriate PJs only, of course!) We'll have prizes for the most creative, festive and crazy outfits. This is the final FUEL of 2014, and it's a great opportunity to bring a friend or two. You won't want to miss it!

 

Parents, could you use a little extra time to get ready for Christmas? If so, drop your kids at Holi-Day Care at the church from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22; let our FUEL students and coaches watch your children and babies so you can get stuff done! All donations will go to support the Stan Buck Lodge at Epworth Forest. Sign up Sunday at the Welcome Center!

 

Giving envelopes for our special Christmas Eve Offering are available.

Every year, Sonrise Church uses its Christmas Eve offering to provide a practical demonstration of God's presence to those in need. This year, all monies collected will support three causes:
  • FOOD: Blessings in a Backpack, providing food to local children on the weekend
  • WATER: Let Them LOL, giving people in Sierra Leone clean water
  • SHELTER: Epworth Forest, contributing to the construction of the Stan Buck Lodge

Pick up an envelope on Sunday and pray for God's direction in your giving. 

 

Other Announcements  
  • If you're looking for a fun and easy way to serve, we could use your help as a cookie server one Sunday each month! This is a great way to meet people and help facilitate the growth of community at Sonrise. Email Susan Abbott if you'd like more information.
     

  • Next Sunday, Dec. 28, we will have just one family-oriented service at 9:30 a.m. Plan to worship as a family that day - we will not offer nursery or KidZone.

     

  •  The church office will observe the following holiday hours:
    Dec. 24 - 8 a.m. - noon
    Dec. 25 - CLOSED
    Dec. 26 - CLOSED
    Dec. 31 - 8 a.m. - noon
    Jan. 1 - CLOSED
    Jan. 2 - CLOSED
     

  • Financial Peace University will be offered on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. from January 19-March 17, 2014. FPU is a biblically based curriculum that teaches people how to handle money, eliminate debt and save for the future God's way. The cost of the kit is $100, payable the night of the first class. Attend the first session for free before you pay! Please register at sonrisechurch.info.


    If you are a graduate of FPU, we invite you to bush up on the basics at a refresher course in The Garage on January 12 at 6:30 p.m.
