This month we are setting our focus on the simplicity of Christmas. Join us Sunday as we explore this further.
 
Make plans to attend one of Sonrise Church's five Christmas Eve services, scheduled at
3:00, 4:30, 6:00, 7:30 and 9:00 p.m.
on December 24.

At Sonrise we get excited about creating a culture of invitation! Christmas Eve is the perfect time to invite a friend or neighbor to join you for worship and celebration!


We ask that you pick up tickets at the Welcome Center for the time you plan to attend. This will help us plan and will also spread the crowds evenly across these five service times. You may also stop at the Sonrise church office to obtain tickets.

 

It's Week 2 of "Christmas Behind the Scenes." Come and see the arrival of our Savior from a different perspective! We have two more FUEL gatherings in 2014 - our annual Christmas party will be on December 21!  

 

Also, FUEL is collecting TOILET PAPER for the needy in our city. It is one of the most-asked-for items at local food banks. We are also partnering with "Blessings in a Backpack" and are collecting as many boxes of POP TARTS as we can!  So please join the cause and bring as many rolls of T.P. and boxes of Pop Tarts as you can to FUEL these next two weeks!


Giving envelopes for our special Christmas Eve Offering are available.

Every year, Sonrise Church uses its Christmas Eve offering to provide a practical demonstration of God's presence to those in need. This year, all monies collected will support three causes:
  • FOOD: Blessings in a Backpack, providing food to local children on the weekend
  • WATER: Let Them LOL, giving people in Sierra Leone clean water
  • SHELTER: Epworth Forest, contributing to the construction of the Stan Buck Lodge

Pick up an envelope on Sunday and pray for God's direction in your giving. 

 

Other Announcements  
  • If you're interested in exploring what the Bible teaches about the first Christmas, join us for two video sessions of The Christmas Experience being shown on consecutive Saturdays, Dec.13 and Dec. 20, from 9-10:30 a.m. An optional discussion time will follow. We'll meet in The Studio (Room 190) - park and enter at Door 4. Childcare will be provided for children under 12. Register at the Welcome Center, or online at sonrisechurch.info.
     

  • Financial Peace University will be offered on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. from January 20-March 17, 2014. FPU is a biblically based curriculum that teaches people how to handle money, eliminate debt and save for the future God's way. The cost of the kit is $100, payable the night of the first class. Attend the first session for free before you pay! Please register at sonrisechurch.info.


    If you are a graduate of FPU,, we invite you to bush up on the basics at a refresher course in The Garage on January 12 at 6:30 p.m.
