Have you been thinking about the power of your words? In Part 2 of Catching Fire this Sunday, we'll focus on Sweeter Than Honey. A kind word or a compliment can be a powerful tool. Just as careless words have the power to destroy, words well-spoken have the power to heal!

  • In the past few weeks, Sonrise Church has been blessed to be a blessing to several ministries! 

     

    As our North Campus transitioned we found ourselves with a complete "church in a box" - everything that the North Campus had used to set up a church environment each Sunday. Rather than splitting up individual pieces of this inventory, which included sound and projection equipment and complete KidZone environments, we decided to donate the entire "church in a box," including a blue cargo truck!

     

    Through staff connections and local contacts, the contents of the truck have been gifted to LifeGate Church, a start-up church in Denver. And the big blue cargo truck will go to Mustard Seed Ministries, a not-for-profit here in Fort Wayne that provides furniture to families that have suffered devastating loss.

     
  • It's time to start packing shoe boxes! The collection week for Operation Christmas Child is just a month away - Nov. 17-24. Every shoe box gift is an opportunity for a child to hear the message of the Gospel, so start packing! Keep an eye out for info on how you can get involved.   • 2015 Camp Dates -- get 'em on your calendar!

  • The Young Adults ministry meets on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
