Hello Sonrise Church!

Thank you for signing up to receive our weekly Sonrise Southwest eNews! We want to do everything we can to equip people to experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus! Check out our website www.sonrisechurch.info for more information!

Pastor Scott Greene will be teaching this Sunday as we continue in our September series looking at What Matters.  We hope you'll join us at 8:30, 9:30, or 11:00 a.m.

Sonrise Church is planning a work trip to Haiti January 17-23, 2015. Our group will be serving in various ways with our partner Jesus in Haiti ministries, located about an hour north of Port Au Prince.

This is a great opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and show Jesus' love to some of the poorest people in the world. Serving on a short-term mission trip can be  truly life-changing! We encourage adults of all skill-levels and interests to pick up an information packet at the Welcome Center. The deadline for registration is Sept. 30. Contact Pastor Weaz with questions. weaz@sonrisechurch.info

You can learn more about Jesus in Haiti ministries at jesusinhaiti.org.

Are you tall enough? Pretty enough? Smart enough? Funny enough? Most of us measure how we're doing by how everyone else is doing. We see everyone else's grades, clothes, athletic ability, talent, and popularity, and it's easy to feel like we don't measure up. So we adjust course, try again and then compare some more. It's exhausting. Pastor Weaz is kicking off the new school year with a three-part series that will explore the difficult, but not impossible, challenge of escaping The Comparison Trap.

We're excited to build on what we learned at the Global Leadership Summit and will be exploring God's plan for us as leaders at the next Heart & Soul,Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 p.m. (optional dinner at 6 p.m.)

Childcare will be provided. Please register online at sonrisechurch.info.
