Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Palm Sunday, the day when crowds celebrated Jesus as the Messiah, shouting "Hosanna" and spreading their cloaks and palm branches before him as he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.
The "Be Different" series continues this Sunday... be the minority, and the majority will take notice of the goodness of God!

Jesus once prayed for His disciples that they would be different, or set apart from the world they lived in (John 17:15-19).  What does this mean to us today?  Why should it matter?  Join us at Sonrise Southwest this week with Scott Greene teaching.   Service times are 8:30, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m.
Join us as we commemorate Good Friday at 12:30 p.m. this Friday.

 

Then come back on Sunday to celebrate Easter with us at any of our three services, which will all be held in our auditorium on Sunday, April 20! If you consider Sonrise your church home, we ask that you plan to attend either the 8:30 or 9:30 service that day, to make room for the many visitors we anticipate at the 11:00 service. Childcare will not be available at the 8:30 service.

  • The church office will close at 12:30 p.m. on Good Friday.
  • We currently have 150 kids registered to attend our three summer camps!  Sonrise Church is passionate about the life change that occurs at summer camp, and we anticipate taking more than 200 kids this summer! The price increases $30 on April 21, so do not delay in getting registered! Stop at the display in the lobby to get registered -- a $100 deposit with your camper's registration holds his/her spot, and you can pay off the balance anytime up to two weeks before your camp date.

Middle School: Camp Adventure -- July 6-11
Elementary School: Camp Lakewood -- July 20-25

 

  • Pastor Mark Hammond is leading a Men's Bible Study titled "Stepping Up" on Saturdays from 9-10:30 a.m. beginning April 12.  This is a great study for any man because it focuses on becoming the man God created you to be for your family, others and God.  Cost of workbook is $10. The series begins tomorrow, so contact weaz@sonrisechurch.info if you'd still like to participate.
