Our appreciation goes out to Shufflebox Productions and the American Advertising Federation - Greater Lehigh Valley for supporting the production of this video, as well as the staff, children and families of LVCC on Union Boulevard and LVCC at Truman School for allowing us to bring cameras into the classroom. Both centers participate in Pennsylvania's Keystone STARS, a program to promote high standards and positive child outcomes in early childhood education centers. LVCC on Union Boulevard is a STAR 4 center, the highest STAR level possible to obtain.

Pre-K Counts Available
Apply now for classes opening March 2016

LVCC is accepting applications for our newly-formed Pre-K Counts expansion classes in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton. Classes will open on March 7th and operate into June 2016. Pre-K Counts is a free, high quality pre-kindergarten program that helps children build a strong foundation for school success. View Pre-K Counts enrollment guidelines here.

Pre-K Counts registration for LVCC at March Elementary School in Easton will be held on February 22 (5PM-7PM) in the school cafeteria. Please make an appointment by contacting Lauren Becker at 610-820-5333, ext. 212 or lbecker@LVCConline.org.

Parent Academy
February 23, 2016

LVCC has teamed up with the Allentown Promise Neighborhood and Allentown School District to offer a great learning experience for families with children entering kindergarten. The Academy provides families with tips on achieving kindergarten readiness at home. Complimentary food and beverages available. Central Elementary School in Allentown will host the next Parent Academy on February 23 from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Click here for registration information.

Professional Development
Keystone STARS training for ECE teachers

Lehigh Valley Children's Centers has recently partnered with Keystone STARS to provide professional development training opportunities for early childhood education teachers in northeast Pennsylvania. The training schedules and registration information can be found on the PA Keys Professional Development Registry. Upcoming trainings will be held at LVCC's Campus Center, 410 E. 5th St. in Bethlehem from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
