For Immediate Release
Cal-Nev-Ha District Hires
New Executive Director

Rancho Cucamonga, CA - March 25, 2015

I'm pleased to announce the District's Search Committee has selected a candidate for the office of District Secretary and Executive Director and our candidate has accepted our offer of employment. Past Governor Mark W. McDonald, a member of the Kiwanis Club of San Diego, was approved for this position by the District's Executive Committee at their March 24, 2015 meeting upon the recommendation of the District's Special Committee on Employment of the District Secretary. Mark's long-standing history and background as a Kiwanian and business owner will be an asset to our District.

I thank all the members of the Search Committee who have worked so diligently the past several months to find the best candidate for this position.  A special thank you to Past Governor Gary Jander who served as the chairman of this Committee and took the lead in this effort. Another special thank you to Pete Horton who has served as the Interim Executive Director since December.

I personally look forward to working with Mark who will begin his employment on April 6, 2015, as the District Secretary/Executive DirectorPete will continue his role as Executive Director for the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation and will train and assist Mark in the upcoming months as he learns the position. Please join me in welcoming Mark as the District Secretary and newest member of our District staff.

Sincerely,

Alan Guire
