Help Turn Musical Playlists into

Lifetimes of Memories

Chelsea District Library has partnered with Silver Maples, Chelsea Senior Center, Chelsea Retirement Community, and Ascent Audiology to offer music therapy to Chelsea residents through the Chelsea Music & Memory Project. Music & Memory is a non-profit organization that teaches caregivers how to build personalized music playlists on iPods and other devices, with the aim of helping those with cognitive impairments like dementia improve the quality of their life. The project is made possible through a grant from the Chelsea Community Foundation.

To ensure the program's success, we need technical volunteers who can help manage playlists and devices for our users. If you are comfortable with technology and want to make a difference in someone's life, or want to learn more, please join us at one of the Technology Volunteer Training sessions below:

Monday, May 11 | 4pm | Chelsea Senior Center

Wednesday, May 13 4pm | Silver Maples

Monday, May 18 |7pm | Chelsea Retirement Community

If you are interested in working at a specific place we suggest you take the training there. However, if that date does not work, please pick the date that would work best for you.

To sign up for a session, please contact Keegan Sulecki, Head of Adult Services at 734.475.8732 x218 or via email chelseamusicmemory@gmail.com
