Edward Hirsch

Edward Hirsch, a MacArthur Fellow, was born in Chicago in 1950. He taught at Wayne State University and lived in Detroit from 1978-1985. He has published nine books of poems, most recently Gabriel: A Poem (2014), a book-length elegy, and The Living Fire: New and Selected Poems (2010), which brings together thirty years of work. He has also published five prose books, among them A Poet's Glossary (2014), a complete compendium of poetic terms, and How to Read a Poem and Fall in Love with Poetry (1999), a national bestseller. He lives in New York and serves as president of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.

Annie Martin

Annie Martin developed the award-winning Made in Michigan Writers Series in 2005, a series devoted to highlighting the works of distinguished statewide writers to showcase our region's diverse voices. A brilliant playwright as well, Ms. Martin wrote Completing Dahlia, performed in 2001 by the Purple Rose Theatre Company.

You liked this workshop so much the first time - we're offering it again, only this time it's going to be better! After instruction, participants will split into two groups (iOS and Android) for about an hour to share tips and trick, and learn more about the functionality of their devices. The two groups will then reconvene to discuss apps that have been successful for them and new ones they are curious about. Don't miss this chance to share your experiences and learn from other in this encouraging environment.

The Chelsea District Library is nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide equal access to quality resources that serve the lifelong cultural, educational, and informational needs and interests of all people.The library currently serves 14,000 residents in the Chelsea district - City of Chelsea plus Dexter, Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan townships and more than 20,000 individuals visit the library each month.  The library's state-of-the-art facility is an access point for information.
