Join us for a day of fun and games!

 

Through a wide variety of activities, we'll be celebrating the upcoming author visits of Nancy Shaw, Johnathan Rand, and Gary Schmidt who will be in town later this month for our Authors in Chelsea program.   

 

There will be something for everyone including: playing Pirate Ship Ring Toss, making lightning with your fingers, visiting the Shakespearean insult station and enjoying all kinds of fun and delicious drinks and snacks!

Sonic Sundays: Beach Middle School Fiddle Club Concert

How about some lively Bluegrass and Celtic tunes to "fiddle" away those winter blahs?  The Fiddle Club, a part of Beach Middle School for 15 years, consists of 5th-8th grade string students under the direction of coach Nathan Peters, and high school cadet teacher, Aidan Carry.

Please note - The Bowdish Brothers, who were originally scheduled to play on February 1st and were cancelled due to weather, have been rescheduled for March 22, 2-3pm in the McKune Room.

Dr. Seuss, who wrote over 50 children's books including the timeless favorites Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, is celebrating his 111th birthday this year! Chelsea District Library is throwing him a birthday party like no other and you're invited! Be sure to join us for games, crafts, stories, and a piece of delicious birthday cake! 

Note:parents must remain in the library during the party.

Friends new logo Used Book Sale Donations

The Friends of Chelsea District Library would like to thank all those who have donated books, music 
and movies to their monthly book sales which 
benefit the library.

If you would like to make a donation, please remember to follow these guidelines:
  1. Only clean books, music and movies in GOOD condition will be accepted.
  2. We do not accept encyclopedias, textbooks or technical books older than five years or ANY Readers' Digest condensed books.
  3. Place your donations inside the marked bins under the staircase on the first floor.
The Friends of Chelsea District Library are a 501c3 organization and donation receipts are available at the Check-out Desk.
