Purple Rose Theatre Company

Saturday, Feb. 7 | 10:30am-12:30pm
McKune Room | Registration Required

Join us for a reading of Morning's at Seven by Paul Osborn, read by Purple Rose performers. After the reading, share your feedback with the cast, playwright, and Artistic Director Guy Sanville.

A little bit about the reading:

Aaronetta and Ida Gibbs have lived next door to each other most of their lives and along with Esther, all of the Gibb sisters are an open book to each. Husbands not included. Into the fray comes Myrtle Brown, perpetually engaged to Ida's son Homer. But Homer can't seem to pop the question. Taking matters into her own hands, Myrtle finally gets a proposal by compelling Homer to fly the nest. Sort of. This perennially charming portrait of small town America fifty plus years ago was revived on Broadway in 1980 and in 2002 to critical acclaim.

Can't make it to the library to watch the performance? Watch it live at home by clicking on our homepage link.

Tax Prep Q & A

It's Tax Time Again!

The following tax forms will be available at the library this year:

Federal:

1040*, 1040A and 1040EZ

MI State:

Michigan Tax booklets* (including MI-1040 forms and instructions), and the Home Heating Credit Claim*

Due to extreme budget cuts, the IRS will only provide libraries with limited quantities of the forms listed above. The library will, however, have printed copies of the instruction booklet for the various 1040 forms, which can be checked out for a three-day period (located in the tax area on the second floor). Additionally, a binder containing the various tax tables is available for in-library reference.

Online access for all Federal tax forms, schedules, instructions, and publications can be found at http://www.irs.gov/Forms-&-Pubs. If you need help accessing and printing the forms, feel free to visit the library. Printing is $0.15 per page.

*These forms are scheduled to arrive by mid-February.
