Chelsea District Library converts to NEW radio-frequency identification (RFID) collection tagging system

Beginning Monday, January 26th, the library will begin converting its entire collection to a NEW RFID system.  The process will involve adding a new tag to each item and will take approximately 3 weeks.

The new system's vendor, 3M, will be responsible for changing the tags, so be prepared to see their employees working hard in and amongst our bookshelves!

To help the transition go smoothly, we are asking that patrons not re-shelve items, but rather put them on the designated carts throughout the library.

We thank you for your patience as we convert to our new system. Once completed two new self-checkout stations will be available, and checkout promises to be easier than ever.
