SAVE THE DATE!

Authors in Chelsea is a 2-day long celebration of three nationally known authors invited to Chelsea by the library to give writing workshops and assemblies in Chelsea schools for all 1st through 6th graders during the day!  This year we are featuring three Michigan authors!
Introducing Our Newest
Library Board Member
Charlie Taylor

Charlie has lived in the Chelsea area since 1983 with his wife Jill, and three adult children. They love the Chelsea community, and all the great people and families that call Chelsea home. Previously he worked 25 years for Parke-Davis and then Pfizer in Ann Arbor, where he did biology research. Now partly retired, he keeps busy with pharmaceutical consulting and some part-time teaching at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Due to his father's career as a newspaper and magazine writer and photographer, Charlie has always loved reading, books and libraries from an early age.

"I consider representing Dexter Township on the Chelsea District Library board an honor, since it is such a great resource and asset to the community. What a warm welcoming building that brings people into the heart of downtown Chelsea every day..."

Look for our upcoming Chelsea Standard @Your Library column to find out more about Charlie.
