to honor Chelsea's Veterans and all those who have served their country on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.

Tribute to the Fallen

Veteran's Park | 1:00- 1:45pm

This ceremony will pay tribute to all who served and sacrificed in war. It will begin with the Posting of Colors and She's a Grand Old Flag performed by Mrs. McGuire's and Mrs. Radomski's students. Lt. Col. Deron Reynolds will deliver the opening remarks followed by the Retiring of Colors. Veterans are encouraged to wear uniforms.

A Thousand Letters Home: A WWII Journey Through Letters

Chelsea Comfort Inn | 2:00-3:30pm

Author Teresa K. Irish takes us back in time via the nearly 1,000 letters sent home during her father's WWII service, during which he was awarded a Silver Star, Purple Heart, and two Bronze Battle Stars. A moving and historic story of life and loss, hope and perseverance, unwavering faith and true love, his experience, documented through letters and photographs, will resonate with all.
