Come gain an insightful understanding of the basics of Facebook; including setting up a an account, how to find friends, and most of all how to manage the security of your account. Participants should come with an active email account if they wish to create a Facebook account.

The Learning Lab will be reserved for job seekers, whether you are looking for a quiet place to work on leads, or if you are in search of assistance starting a job search, applying for jobs online, or polishing resumes and cover letters. Staff and experienced volunteers will be on hand to demonstrate tools, assist with tech support and provide support.

 

Ancestry Aficionados

We welcome family history researchers to spend some time digging into the library's online genealogy resources, such as Ancestry Library Edition, HeritageQuest, SeekingMichigan.org and our own StoriesofChelsea.org. Expert volunteers will be on hand to offer advice and guidance for next steps in your own family tree exploration.

 

Dance Along, Sing Along! 

Wednesday, Aug. 27

Dance along and sing along with Miss Beth! Join local music teacher Beth Battey for songs, dances, and musical games for children and parents to do together. Siblings welcome. Beth Battey is a co-organizer of the Cumberland Dance Week family dance camp, and teaches music at several local day care centers, as well as private music lessons to all ages.
