Stories of Chelsea

Completion of Historic Newspaper Project
gets one step closer!

With the return of our microfilm collection to its case on the 2nd floor, the library is one step closer to completing the necessary steps needed to digitize 134 years of Chelsea's newspapers. Once completed, digital versions will be stored and accessible online, making them easier to search and availble to patrons 24/7.

This project would not be possible without the support of the Chelsea community!  To date, over 100 years have been sponsored by local businesses, organizations and library patrons.  Although the majority of years have been spoken for, there are still almost 25 years available for sponsorship. With a $100 sponsorship, you can help us give another year of old news new life!

To sponsor a year or to find out more about this project, contact Sara Wedell, swedell@chelseadistrictlibrary.org or (734) 475-8732 x218 or visit http://storiesofchelsea.org/
