Resumes, Networking & Interviewing

Nadine Anderson and Meri Evans of Manpower, Inc. in Ann Arbor will cover three major skills for job seekers: resume writing, networking and interviewing. 

 

Join us to gain guidance in building an informative and up-to-date resume, for networking tips to help you expand your personal connections, and for strategies to help you ace your interview. All are welcome, whether you are a first-time job seeker, just looking to polish your resume, or boost your networking skills. There's something here for everyone

Robots! With the Chelsea High School Robotics Team

Learn all about robots with Chelsea High School's F.I.R.S.T.(For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) Robotics Team. Watch a demonstration of the team's latest robots and engage in interactive robotic activities. Chelsea Robotics is a High School club for teens interested in science, technology and robotics. They create working robots and compete in national competitions.

Thousands of beautiful books, CDs, DVDs, ,audio books and other items are available for purchase. Proceeds from the sales are used to support the Library. Stop by the Friendly Book Cart, always 
available in the lobby for a great selection of "like-new" books at bargain prices.

Live goats, chickens, doves, geese and more, all born in Michigan, will be at the Library today. This program is warm and fuzzy, hands-on, safe, and fun! Learn about Michigan Farming, Recycling, Livestock, Composting and Organic Farming, while enjoying the company of live Michigan animals! Great for all ages.

How does your knowledge of random trivia compare to your friends' and neighbors'? Round up a team of up to six people and join the Chelsea Library at the Chelsea Alehouse to test your trivia chops. After five rounds of trivia, the top two teams win prizes (and bragging rights). Free to participate-- bring your library card to get bonus points!

The Learning Lab will be reserved for job seekers, whether you are looking for a quiet place to work on leads, or if you are in search of assistance starting a job search, applying for jobs online, or polishing resumes and cover letters. Staff and experienced volunteers will be on hand to demonstrate tools, assist with tech support and provide support.
