Introducing Our
New Library Board Member  Jerry Wilczynski

Lyndon Township Trustee

As the recently retired CEO from Silver Maples of Chelsea, I am excited to have this opportunity to give back to the Chelsea community via my appointment to the board of the Chelsea District Library.

As a board member I look forward to facilitating the library's leadership to programming and commitment to the Chelsea Area community while doing so in a fiscally prudent manner.

This library is more than bricks and mortar, it is a part of the fabric and lives of the community and I will work hard to keep the
library a viable, dynamic and meaningful entity for many years to come.
As part of the Library Collection work group's goal to make our collection more easily accessible and our material easier to find, we are taking a survey of the way our adult fiction is categorized on the 2nd floor.

We want to know if you would prefer having mysteries, science fiction and fantasy shelved in separate sections, or if you would prefer to have all the fiction shelved by author and mark the genres with genre labels on the book spines.

The data we gather will inform our next steps.

Please ask a librarian at the 2nd floor information desk for a copy of the survey to fill out. Surveys are also available throughout the Fiction collection on various shelves and online as well. Completed surveys can be returned at our 2nd floor information desk.
