The 3.5-hour ACT Practice Test helps students decide which test is right for them. This is a perfect opportunity to experience the ACT and prepare for testing in March. Please bring a simple calculator and a snack to eat/drink during the short breaks in testing.

In the review program on February 9th, students receive feedback on how to maximize their scores in March.

Downloading eBooks to your eReader, Tablet or Smartphone

The library offers ebooks and audiobooks for download to your eReader, tablet, or smartphone. We'll demonstrate how to access, search and download titles through Download Destination, our ebook site. We'll discuss using an app for searching and downloads, setting up an Adobe ID for access, and how to downloading your chosen titles to your device. We will also review the library's Download Destination Help resources. Please register for this exciting workshop and leave a question if you have one.

We are now able to notify you by text message when you have a hold available! 
 
To sign up for this new service, please go to "My Account" from our website, chelsea.lib.mi.us. Select "Text Message Notification," and enter your name and the phone number you wish to receive the messages. Then check the "Hold Pickup Notification" box and click "Save Changes." 
 
This service is available for holds notification only at this time.

Detroit musician Rev. Robert Jones will return to Chelsea with his signature blend of blues and folk music. Jones' performance will present a musical history of the development of musical styles and significance of music in the African-American experience. A self-taught guitarist, Jones' talents have been featured at the National Storytelling Festival, Chicago Blues Festival, and Chelsea's own Midwest Literary Walk. All ages are welcome to this entertaining and informative performance.

Smarty Pants Trivia Smackdown

How does your knowledge of random trivia compare to your friends' and neighbors'? Round up a team of up to six people and join the Chelsea Library at the Chelsea Alehouse to test your trivia chops. After five rounds of trivia, the top two teams win prizes (and bragging rights). Free to participate-- bring your library card to get bonus points!

Calling all readers, library fans, and future leaders! Decide what materials, programs and services Chelsea middle and high school students want and need by joining the Chelsea District Library's new Teen Advisory Board! 
 
Teen Advisory Board members will get to check out books first, plan lock-ins and special events, and tell the library what teens want! Teen Advisory Board positions will be voted on in October.

Chelsea School District's Survey to the Community

Every community member has a voice in the Chelsea School District's (CSD) pursuit of educational goals for our children. We are asking for your feedback in a variety of areas related to the school district. 
 
The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. All answers will be kept confidential. The survey results will be reviewed by the Board of Education and school district administrators.
