Read to Your Library Buddy is back! Read to Your Library Buddy is a fun, stress-free reading session with a teen or adult volunteer who is trained to help readers feel comfortable and supported. Reading aloud is one of the best ways to improve reading skills. Read 5 times and get a free book! The program is on the first Friday of each month. Sign up at the Youth Reference Desk or call 734 475-8732, ext. 4.

When local photographer Ralph Guenther retired, he donated all of his photo negatives to the Chelsea District Library. On the second Wednesday of each month, join librarian Emily at the Chelsea Senior Center to identify the subjects of Ralph Guenther's photographs.

The Chelsea District Library is nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide equal access to quality resources that serve the lifelong cultural, educational, and informational needs and interests of all people.The library currently serves 14,000 residents in the Chelsea district - City of Chelsea plus Dexter, Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan townships and more than 20,000 individuals visit the library each month.  The library's state-of-the-art facility is an access point for information.
