Fill a Bag with Books for $5

 

Add a description Back by popular demand, the Friends of Chelsea District Library will hold another Fill a Bag for $5 Book Sale. Thousands of books, CDs, DVDs, and audio books are available for purchase. Proceeds from the sales are used to support the Library. Bags will be provided at book sale, courtesy of Polly's Country Market.

LEGO Club | LEGO Club gives children ages 5-12 an opportunity to create structures and stories by giving them one full hour of free play with our extensive LEGO collection.

BabytimeIntroduce your baby or toddler to the wonderful world of books. We'll be singing songs, doing bouncy rhymes, learning some "baby signing", and reading along to fun board books. 

  

Wednesday, September 11

Place That FaceWhen local photographer Ralph Guenther retired, he donated all of his photo negatives to the Chelsea District Library. On the second Wednesday of each month, join librarian Emily at the Chelsea Senior Center to identify the subjects of Ralph Guenther's photographs. 

 

Thursday, September 12

Fall Storytime (2-6 year olds) | Our youth librarians will introduce your child to the wonderful world of books by reading great stories, singing funny songs, and making each story come alive through puppets, fingerplays and movement. 


Saturday, September 14

SAT/ACT Combo Practice TestThe 3.5-hour Combo Practice Test helps students decide which test is right for them. This is a perfect opportunity to experience both tests. Please bring a simple calculator and a snack to eat/drink during the short breaks in testing.

Volunteers Needed
 
null The Chelsea Senior Center is launching a new program this fall. The Chelsea Community Senior Services (C2S2) program will provide seniors access to needed services using volunteers or through referrals to vetted and discounted service providers. 
 
C2S2 is seeking volunteer applicants to provide services such as transportation, friendly visits, basic home maintenance, check-in calls, light gardening or yard work, assistance with electronics, and pet care. We are interested in hearing about the skills you can share with local residents. READ MORE>>

The Chelsea District Library is nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide equal access to quality resources that serve the lifelong cultural, educational, and informational needs and interests of all people.The library currently serves 14,000 residents in the Chelsea district - City of Chelsea plus Dexter, Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan townships and more than 20,000 individuals visit the library each month.  The library's state-of-the-art facility is an access point for information.
