Check Out a State Park Pass
With Your Library Card
Explore Michigan's natural beauty at a state or local park. And why not visit for free, courtesy of your local library? Check out a MI Big Green Gym park pass and get access to over 100 parks in Michigan. Passes are valid for seven days after check-out and are good for one free day into any state park or recreation area. The DNR has a map of parks throughout the state. Here's a list of all the participating parks. For more information about what each park offers, here's a handy map and chart. Passes are available at the Chelsea District Library Check Out Desk, are valid for seven days from check-out and can be used for day-use only, not for use at prearranged/ multiple person private gatherings, or overnight camping. The program is available June 1 to October 1.
