Join captain "Honest Jon" Van Hoek and other members of the Monitor Base Ball Club of Chelsea for a fun look at old-time base ball. Part of the Chelsea Area Historical Society, the Monitors are an amateur community club playing baseball by the rules of 1860. Come find out more about the history of our nation's pastime and the modern phenomenon of vintage base ball. "Like" the Monitors on Facebook for updates and game schedule.

Events this Week
Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint-Part I | An introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint 2010. We'll begin by setting up a basic presentation, add slide content, input simple graphics, and then continue with layout, editing, formatting, arranging slides, saving, and playing the presentation.
Tuesday, May 14
Babytime | Introduce your baby or toddler to the wonderful world of books. We'll be singing songs, doing bouncy rhymes, learning some "baby signing" and reading along to fun board books.
Wednesday, May 15
Spring Storytime | Our youth librarians will introduce your child to the wonderful world of books by reading great stories, singing funny songs, and making each story come alive through puppets, fingerplays and movement.
Thursday, May 16
Open Play | Open Play gives children ages four and younger an opportunity to meet and play with other children in a fun, safe, and child friendly environment while enabling caregivers to socialize. We'll provide age appropriate toys.

Friends of Chelsea District Library Used Book Sale
The next Friends of Chelsea District Library Used Book Sale is Saturday, May 11 from 10am-3pm in the library's basement.
Find thousands of beautiful books, CDs, DVDs, audio books and more available for purchase. Proceeds from the sales are used to support the library. For updates and to learn more about the Friends of Chelsea District Library, check out their Facebook page.
The Friends will be selling the library's used computers at this book sale.
