Washtenaw Literacy ad
Becoming a literacy volunteer creates many opportunities: helping an adult to read, teaching English skills to non-native speakers, even learning new things yourself. The first step to becoming a volunteer tutor with Washtenaw Literacy is to attend a one-hour informational session, the ABCs of Literacy Tutoring. This session will provide interested folks with all the information they need to decide how they would like to become involved. Washtenaw Literacy helps adult changes their lives through literacy.

We'll be singing songs, doing bouncy rhymes, learning some "baby signing" and reading along to fun board books in the first half of this program. In the second half, the toys come out! While the babies play and learn to share, caregivers have a chance to socialize and exchange information.
