Smarty Pants Trivia Smack Down
Round up a team of up to six people and join the Chelsea District Library at the Chelsea Alehouse to test your trivia chops. After five rounds of trivia, the top two teams win prizes (and bragging rights). Free to participate-bring your library card to get bonus points! Presented in partnership                         with Chelsea Alehouse.

Writing S'Mores: A Workshop with Cynthia Furlong Reynolds | Discuss how to divide a writing project into component parts, and how to use templates. Also learn procedures for structuring, plotting, and completing a narrative.

  

Monday, March 18 

Kids Play Chess | Chess promotes sportsmanship, problem solving, creative thinking, and pattern recognition. For kids ages 5-12, whether you want to learn to play, help others learn to play, improve your chess skills, or meet new friends to play with. 
 
Tuesday, March 19
One on One Computer Help | Computer volunteers are on hand to answer questions about computers, the Internet, Microsoft applications and other technology issues. Bring your devices and questions. 
 
BabytimeIntroduce your baby or toddler to the wonderful world of books. We'll be singing songs, doing bouncy rhymes, learning some "baby signing" and reading along to fun board books in the first half of this program. In the second half, the toys come out! While the babies play and learn to share, caregivers have a chance to socialize and exchange information.


Wednesday, March 20
Spring StorytimeOur youth librarians will introduce your child to the wonderful world of books by reading great stories, singing funny songs, and making each story come alive through puppets, fingerplays and movement.

 

Authors in ChelseaMeet and greet three famous children's authors at this special event in the library. See top of page for more information. Books will be available for purchase in the library lobby from Chelsea's Just Imagine bookstore.
 
Thursday, March 21
Open PlayGive your children ages four and younger an opportunity to meet and play with other children in a fun, safe, and child friendly environment while enabling caregivers to socialize. We will provide age appropriate toys for the kids.

The library will be closed:
Friday, March 22 for a staff in-service.
Sunday, March 31 in observance of Easter Sunday.
