REPLACE, DON'T ERASE
Michigan's Personal Property Tax. Act now!

Replace Don't Erase The Michigan Legislature will soon be voting on one of the most critical issues facing the state and your legislative district-whether or not to scrap the business personal property tax, and how those revenues should be replaced to continue funding essential local services.

The Personal Property Tax bills are moving along rapidly in lame duck sessions in the state legislature. This is an issue that will have detrimental effects on library funding. We urge our patrons to contact their local legislators to ensure adequate funding to public libraries.

Do you love the Chelsea District Library?  To ensure that your library is properly funded we urge you to let your legislators know how much Chelsea District Library means to you. A Trained Librarian is a Powerful Search Engine with a Heart

We love this sign designed by Sarah McIntyre for the Mass Lobby of Parliament for School Libraries in October. She has been getting many e-mails from librarians asking if they could buy a poster version of the sign she made. Sarah looked around at several websites, and noticed they were charging a lot of money to buy the posters, so she thought she would  offer them as free downloadable PDF files, for anyone who would like to make copies for their library. Thank you, Sarah!

Sarah McIntyre is an illustrator and writer who makes picture books and comics with three other artists in an old police station - complete with jail cells! - in Deptford, South London.
