I Geek Economics

I Geek Economics

I use the library to find information about economics because I'm an economics teacher who has a passion for learning about economics. I always attempt to stay abreast of current economic ideas such as behavioral economics.  Checking out and reading books like Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely, Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt , and The Big Short by Michael Lewis have allowed me to recommend them to students to advance their knowledge.  The discussions we have in the classroom is the direct result of the resources the library offers.

Personal Property Tax

If the Personal Property Tax is eliminated by state legislature w/out guaranteeing replacement funds, the Chelsea District Library will lose an additional $100,000. Personal Property Tax is a tax paid by businesses on industrial and commercial equipment and generates nearly $470 million annually for local governments, school districts and libraries. Show your support.
