The Perfect Rainy-Day Activity
Rainy days while camping can seem like a real downer, but there are plenty of inside activities that can pass the time until the sun starts shining again. One of our favorites is Salt Art. All you'll need is some construction paper, glue, and salt!
Let your child (or you!) create a work of art with the glue on construction paper, then shake salt over it to create a 3D masterpiece. It's much cheaper than glitter and you may have all the necessary materials without even having to make a trip to the store!
If you have watercolor paints, you can add some artistic flare by giving your creation some color!
Happy Camping!

Normandy Takes on the Ice Bucket Challenge
At Normandy Farms Campground, the challenge first began back on July 29 with the Recreation Team. Members nominated each other and did the Ice Bucket Challenge as a team. Then the Recreation Team nominated the Pool Team and the guests. These two groups took the challenge, after which each group nominated two more groups of people. The Pool Team challenged the Reception Center Team and the guests at Normandy Farms challenged guests staying at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in Oakham. The guests at Pine Acres took the challenge and nominated guests from Jellystone Park in Sturbridge. Jellystone Park guests took the challenge and nominated guests at Village Green Family Campground in Brimfield.
